Creative Self-Care

Workshop

A workshop on creative methods for people to manage their mental and emotional well-being - preventing things like burnout and anxiety.

 

The workshop featured a writing session; guided meditation and creative visualisation; hair-care techniques, face mask making and herbal tea making. 

The creative writing session was delivered by Kojostein. Founder of Bastion, former producer and host of  monthly poetry night. He has featured at Jawdance, Battersea Arts Centre and Neverworld festival. 

The guided meditation session was facilitated by Laurie, who has delivered a variety of informal creative workshops both in the UK and Gambia. The guided meditation activity helped participants connect with their own creativity and express their inner findings.

The self-care through hair care session was led by Remi. The session find peace in the simplest practices like hair care.

The Aromathera-tea session was delivered by Shannon, highlighting how basic natural ingredients (e.g. Honey, Bicarbonate of Soda) can be used for face masks to clarify and revitalise the skin without breaking the bank
